Anamaria Marina is a Romanian actor. She was awarded with the British Academy Television Award of Best Actress in The Channel 4 Film Sex Traffic. The actress speaks French, German, English as well as Romanian proficiently. Her father, who is a theatre professor at one of Romania's most prestigious theater schools, also theater teacher. At the Mangalia Gala for Young Actors, she won the Best Female Actor Award 2000. In 2008, the European Film Promotion Board named her a European Shooting Star in 2008. This film won several awards, including the European Film Award Best Actress by London Film Critics. In 2007, her role on Cristian Mungiu's Romanian art film, 4 luni 3 semaines si 2 days (4 months, 3 weeks and 2 days), won both the Palme d'Or Award at the Cannes Film Festival 2007 and two other awards, the Cinema Prize for the French National Education System as well as the FIPRESCI Prize. Youth Without Youth by Francis Ford Coppola was a different film in which she appeared. In 2008, she appeared as Yasim Angwar, the BBC miniseries of five episodes The Last Enemy. Marinca was also a part of Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven and the Romanian drama Boogie. In the feature film Fury (2014) in which she was Irma who was an German woman who was Emma's aunt.
