Kristen Anne Bell was born in 1980. She's an American singer and actress. She was born and raised in Huntington Woods, Michigan, and is the daughter of Lorelei (Frygier) and is a nurse as well as Tom Bell, a television news director. Her mother is Polish as is her father, who is German, English Irish and Scottish. Kristen's passion for acting was found at a young age. In 1992, she went to her first audition, and was able to win the role of Raggedy Ann and Andy. Bell aged 13 when her mom signed up for an agent, was cast on TV and newspaper advertisements. At this time, she also began private acting lessons. Bell played a brief, uncredited part in the film Polish Wedding (1998) in 1998. Bell went to Shrine Catholic High School, which was where she participated in drama and music club. Bell was chosen to play the lead role as Dorothy in her high school's production of The Wizard of Oz. After graduation Bell made the move into New York City to attend the prestigious Tisch School of the Arts, where she was a musical theater student. Bell left the university in 2001 and began playing the role Becky in the film Tom Sawyer. In 2001, she was the first to make her credit debut playing the character of Becky Pootie Tang. The film was cut, however the film cut her character from the film and she was not even on the screen credits. Bell made an appearance together with Angela Bettis and Liam Neeson in 2002's Broadway revival of The Crucible.
